Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County
The Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County, located at 425 South 12th, is dedicated to the preservation of the John Wood Mansion. The organization collects and preserves artifacts related to Quincy and Adams County. They also maintain a visitor's center and gift shop. The library and office are open weekdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Governor John Wood Mansion is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the summer, the mansion is open MOnday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The last tour begins at 1:15 p.m. Quincy's History Shop is open daily from 10 - 2.
