Quincy and Adams County schools continue to enhance their arts programs as evidenced by the increasing use of the resources of the Quincy Society of Fine Arts.
Each year Arts=Education programs play a larger part in the schools as teachers include more cultural arts activities in their curriculum. The Arts=Education program is sponsored by KHQA-TV, the Stillwell Foundation and QSFA.
Studies show that students who participate in fine arts classes as well as extra-curricular fine arts activities score higher grade point averages and have better attendance records than the general student body.

In taking advantage of QSFA’s programs, area schools visited local museums, enlisted the services of many local artists, and brought in avariety of other artists from outside Adams County.
